Avocados

The avocado is a rich source of monounsaturated fats for heart health and is packed with important nutrients.

Avocados are high in fat, but this fat is mostly monounsaturated. These fats can have a beneficial effect on your health when eaten in moderation and when used to replace saturated fats or trans fats.

This is also a great cancer fighting fruit. Oleic acid contained in monounsaturate can lower the risk of breast cancer and have been shown to inhibit the growth of prostate cancer.

* Avocados have a large range of nutrients , including vitamins C, E and B6, folate, iron, magnesium and potassium.

* High in vitamin E, keeping the skin healthy and helps prevent heart disease.

* Regular consumption of avocados have been shown to lower cholesterol levels

* Good source of magnesium

* Avocado oil is great for dry skin and eczema

Avocados are not only great for eating, they can also be used as apart of your skin and hair care routine. It's a natural organic safe and affordable way to look and feel clear and amazing.

Avocado facial cleanser:

Best when used straight away

1 egg - yolk only
1/2 cup milk
1/2 avocado

Beat yolk until light and frothy
Add milk and avocado beat into a thin cream
Apply to face using a cotton round

This will only last for a couple of days in the refrigerator. To stop it going brown in colour add a few drops of lemon. Make sure to cover.

Clear tip:
Once you cut an avocado, use lemon juice or vinegar to avoid discolouration.
If you are trying to use less saturated fat in your diet, try changing to avocado as your spread.
