Raspberries

Packed with vitamin C, fibre and antioxidants to protect the heart, raspberries are one of the most nutritious fruits and did I mention they are delicious.
Cooking and processing can destroy some of their antioxidants so eating them raw is the best way to consume these little delights.
Anthocyanin’s found in raspberries are the red and blue pigments which have been shown to help prevent varicose veins.
·         High antioxidant activity
·         Contains iron
·         High in fibre
·         One portion contains about half a day’s recommended intake of vitamin C.

Clear Tip:
These little berries do not keep for long, so should be picked ripe. They do freeze well when packed in containers. Try to avoid washing raspberries before storing them as they are fragile and can be easily damaged.

Raspberry and banana shake
Serves 1
1/2 large banana, I used a frozen banana
1/2 cup raspberries

1/2 tsp. Maca
4 small ice cubes
Raw honey to taste

Method:
Place all ingredients into a blender and process until smooth.
Pour into a glass; decorate with mint leaves and raspberries.

Serve and enjoy
